Gina Puc, Chair
Ms. Puc is the Dean of Enrollment Management at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She has worked for over a decade as a college admissions officer, promoting access to higher education. She also serves on other boards and committees in the community. Ms. Puc lives in North Adams, MA.
Maura Delaney, Vice Chair
Ms. Delaney Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs of Berkshire Community College. In addition to her full-time faculty role, she has served as the English Department Chair and the Program Advisor for Liberal Arts. She is involved in many campus committees, including Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee. Adding to her repertoire, she is also the author of The Radio Man: The Life and Letters of James G Delaney. Ms. Delaney resides in Pittsfield.
Fred Puddester, Secretary
Mr. Puddester is Vice President for Finance & Administration and Treasurer for Williams College. He has over 38 years of budget management and finance experience, including serving as Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management for the State of Maryland and senior roles at Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Puddester serves on numerous Williams College committees and lives in Williamstown, MA.
Charles Swabey, Treasurer
Mr. Swabey is the pioneer of a successful residential real estate business. He has over 20 years of project and financial management experience, including serving as the Senior Strategic Financial Analyst for the Gillette Company. Mr. Swabey lives in Clarksburg, MA.
Mr. Butler is the President and CEO of 1Berkshire, the region’s leading business and economic development organization. He has previously worked as the Budget and Policy Director for former State Senator Benjamin Downing and as the Town Administrator in Adams. Mr. Butler also serves on a number of different local and regional boards and committees. Mr. Butler resides in Adams, MA.
Ms. Cutillo is the proprietor of Cutillo Communications, LLC, a consulting firm. Previously, she served as a marketing, public affairs, or development executive at Cooley Dickinson and North Adams Regional Hospitals and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. She has more than 30 years of experience as a communications professional, including as a journalist and book editor, and specializes in integrated marketing and public relations. Ms. Cutillo lives in Adams, MA.
Mr. Ferguson is a Branch Manager with MountainOne Insurance, where he oversees the branches based in the Haddad family of car dealerships. He has 19 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, with Berkshire Bank and Citizens Bank, including work in community education and outreach around financial literacy and early financial education for young people. He is a very proud BART parent and lives in Pittsfield.
Ms. O’Brien is an assistant editor and social media strategist at Williams College. She spent many years telling stories as a photojournalist at newspapers in Ohio and South Florida before returning to graduate school to earn an MFA in nonfiction writing. She has been working in higher education over the past 10 years, as a writer, editor, and photographer.
Mr. Perkins is a retired Engineer from General Dynamics Mission Systems. He has over 32 years of experience in the engineering field. Mr. Perkins serves on various local boards, is the parent of a BART alum and two current BART students, and lives in Pittsfield, MA.
Mr. Stegeman has over 30 years of experience in education and has taught in private and public schools in Massachusetts and Delaware. He has served on numerous boards. Mr. Stegeman is now retired and resides in Williamstown, MA.
Ms. Zhu is a Senior Program Performance Management Specialist at General Dynamics. Previously, she was Chief Financial Manager at the City of Albany, Senior Research Analyst at American Institute for Economic Research, and Project Management Associate at Ericsson Telecommunications. She also serves in various leadership roles in the local community. Ms. Zhu holds an MBA degree from Duke University, a BA degree in both Economics and Statistics and a certificate in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College. Ms. Zhu currently lives in Pittsfield, MA.
