Erica Slate

Mrs. Erica Slate holds a BFA from Alfred University and an MA and CAGS in Educational Leadership from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Before returning to the BART family, Mrs. Slate taught Visual Arts, English, and Special Education in schools throughout Western Massachusetts. Mrs. Slate was part of BART’s early faculty, where she helped build the visual arts program and later returned to teach English. She is especially proud to return to a school that her daughter Ella also attended. Outside of school, Mrs. Slate loves making art, exploring museums, roller skating, hiking, cooking, trying new things, and spending time with her family.
