Cynthia Quinones
Berkshire native Cynthia Saunders Quiñones holds a BA from George Washington University and an MFA from Warren Wilson College. She is a long time arts educator who believes deeply in the power of the arts to teach essential life skills, empower young people, and build community. In a previous role as Director of Education for Barrington Stage Company, Cynthia produced youth theater productions, hired and supported technical theater interns, led community wide initiatives, and taught as an artistic mentor in the Playwright Mentoring Project. Cynthia also has nearly twenty years of classroom teaching experience, working with a wide range of ages on everything from theatre to creative writing. Some recent favorite directing experiences include youth productions of Into the Woods, Charlotte's Web, and Mary Poppins. She herself loves writing poetry, playing board games, staying in touch with friends near and far, and singing and performing--especially with her husband and their two young daughters.
