A note from Ms. Chelukhova: 

Hawk Newsome, Director of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York and a nationally known Civil Rights Movement advocate, will be joining our community for a presentation, class visits, and lunch on February 3.  I've created a form for the students to fill in with questions for Mr. Newsome.

Could you please spare 15 minutes of your class time this week to show the attached TED Talk and ask the students to come up with questions?  I will make a slideshow presentation to create a greater representation and buy-in among our kiddos.  If I could have the forms filled out by this Friday, I'll plough through all the responses and create a presentation over the weekend.

If the students have questions or concerns, please direct them to me.
