Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Grant Opportunity
Erica Girgenti, Adams Council of the Aging, reached out to local schools to share updated information about the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fund through the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Neighbor-to-Neighbor provides emergency assistance for local residents who are in economic distress through small grants to help with overdue utilities, medical bills, short term housing costs, and transportation problems. Checks are written to the vendor (landlord, utility company, pharmacy or mechanic) on behalf of the community member in need. If you are interested in applying for this grant and need assistance, please notify Erin Egan, Health & Wellness Coordinator.
*Grant amounts are anticipated to increase to between $750-$1000. Additional Neighbor-to-Neighbor funds are anticipated to be available in order to address the needs of communities
*Applicants may be able to receive assistance more than once
*Best practice is that applicants work through an agency or organization to submit an application
