Charles Swabey, Chair

Mr. Swabey is the pioneer of a successful residential real estate business. He has over 20 years of project and financial management experience, including serving as the Senior Strategic Financial Analyst for the Gillette Company. Mr. Swabey lives in Clarksburg, MA.

Cindy Brown
Dr. Brown is the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.  She has over 20 years of experience in educational leadership at MCLA, Lesley University, and Tacoma Community College.  Dr. Brown lives in Pittsfield, MA.

Jonathan Butler
Mr. Butler is the President and CEO of the Berkshire County Chamber of Commerce and Vice President and COO of 1Berkshire.  He has previously been the Budget and Legislative Director for State Senator Ben Downing’s Office and the Town Administrator for the Town of Adams.  Mr. Butler resides in Cheshire, MA.

Marnie Clough 
Mrs. Clough, an attorney with Donovan & O’Connor based in North Adams, specializes in disability insurance, private and public workers’ compensation, domestic relations, and litigation. She is also a member of the Northern Berkshire YMCA board. Mrs. Clough lives in Adams, MA.

Dianne Cutillo
Mrs. Cutillo is the retired Senior Director of Public Affairs at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and a former journalist.  She has over 25 years of experience as a communications professional and specializes in integrated marketing and public relations.  Mrs. Cutillo lives in Adams, MA.

Jenn Kerwood 
Mrs. Kerwood is the Vice President of Development for the Berkshire United Way. Prior to this she was the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Berkshire Community College. She has a strong background in development, financial management, and campaign support. She also serves on various other boards and committees in the community. Mrs. Kerwood lives in Pittsfield, MA.

Chris Perkins 
Mr. Perkins is a Technical Systems Lead at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. He has over 28 years of experience in the engineering field. Mr. Perkins serves on various local boards, is the parent of a BART alum and two current BART students, and lives in Pittsfield, MA.

Bill Polk 
Mr. Polk is the Principal of Business Advisory Services, a consulting firm specializing in business planning and business plan finances, and has over 40 years of experience in the financial services sector. He has helped launch nearly 200 businesses via his involvement in entrepreneurial programs. Mr. Polk is an Advanced Communicator Gold with Toastmasters International, serves on a number of boards, and lives in Lenox, MA.

Fred Puddester, Treasurer 
Mr. Puddester is Vice President for Finance & Administration and Treasurer for Williams College. He has over 13 years of budget management and finance experience, including serving as Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management for the State of Maryland and senior roles with Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Puddester serves on numerous Williams College committees and lives in Williamstown, MA.

Geraldine Shen, Secretary 
Mrs. Shen is the Executive Director for Sand Springs Recreational Center. She has previously been Senior Development Officer for Williams College and Director of Curriculum Development at Better Chinese in Palo Alto, CA. Mrs. Shen serves on the board of the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition and lives in Williamstown, MA.

Patrice Smith 
Mrs. Smith is an attorney and member of the State Bar of Texas. She serves on the board of the Friends of the Milne Public Library and is the Treasurer for Words Are Wonderful, an organization dedicated to the promotion of literacy. Mrs. Smith lives in Williamstown, MA.

Bob Stegeman 
Mr. Stegeman has over 30 years of experience in education and has taught in private and public schools in Massachusetts and Delaware. He has served on numerous boards. Mr. Stegeman is now retired and resides in Williamstown, MA.
